MEET LISA PONCE-KIM

Owner and creative mind behind the new and amazing Moon River Salon and Spa, located in the heart of San Luis Obispo, CA. The salon started accepting clients the first week of June 2017 and their official Grand Opening date is Saturday October 28, 2017.

The name, Moon River, is definitely a unique name for a salon. Lisa's major inspiration and fuel to her fire throughout her life has been her family. Her Grandmother has been the glue that holds the family together, so it was only appropriate to name it after her Grandmother's favorite song: Moon River by Andy Williams.

Wife and mother of two, followed her passion and dream of creating a space that exuded everything beautiful, positive, and welcoming. She has brought together a group of like-minded individuals who love what they do and has constantly encouraged them to act on their creativity and passions. Lisa and her "dream team" are proud to say how much they enjoy coming to work each day and seeing the smile they put on each of their clients faces.

Moon River Salon & Spa's dream team consists of their front desk coordinator, an Esthetician, Lash Specialists, Salon Manager, Assistant, and 10 stylists - including Lisa, herself.

They offer many services to meet any of your beautifying needs for both men and women. Services include all hair related needs with stylists who specialize in color, cut, extensions, men's hair, and curly hair. They also provide waxing, facials, lash extensions, and will soon be offering permanent make-up within the next year.

One of my favorite aspects of the new salon is the overall aesthetic and ambience. With an industrial, boho, and chic vibe you feel as if you walked into an A list New York salon without lacking the small town warmth and feel. With fun and local product to shop along with a cute coffee bar and lounge area, you definitely feel welcome and ready to settle in during your time at Moon River Salon & Spa.

My experience at Moon River Salon & Spa was top notch with exceptional customer service that left me feeling like an A-list client. After having my hair and make-up styled, I left ready to strut down the street feeling like my most exuberant and confident self. Lisa was warm, light-hearted, and easy to open up to. I personally love a salon with stylists who have me feeling like I made a new best friend.

Her professional and tasteful personality complimented her talent for styling. Swiveling in the chair to see my hair and make-up in a way I would have never accomplished myself, truly had me grinning from ear to ear. She brought out my Sasha Fierce (for all you Beyonce lovers out there) and it was then, that I knew she truly was able to allow her clients to feel exactly how her mission statement expressed: beautiful on the inside and out.
