The Station

The perfect place to have a glass of wine with a side of nostalgia. Located in the heart of San Luis Obispo, CA.

Wine pairs nicely with a great ambience filled with small town nostalgia, greenery, and a smiling staff. When visiting The Station, it's pretty hard to miss. It's the beautifully restored vintage gas station right on Higuera street located in San Luis Obispo. It is the only original gas station left standing from the 1920's with original architecture and walls. It also has a fun mint green Station Wagon out front that serves delicious food, sure to impress any foodie. Every Tuesday the Station Wagon serves food from a local caterer, Good Tides Organic Bistro. While each Friday the Station invites different local food trucks to serve their wine loving clientele.

The Station focuses on providing imported and small local wines that you wouldn't find available just anywhere. Tastings vary depending on the wine they are featuring, but can range anywhere from $15-$20 with bottles ranging anywhere from $10-$30.

Looking for a fun night out with your girlfriends or a date night with the hubby that stimulates your creativity? Try Art Bar Slo, located at The Station every week. Check out the events tab, located on their website, to find which painting inspires your inner artist!

Need a unique birthday present or hostess gift? They offer all the goods that will have your friends labeling you the best gift giver and party guest. Score!

Not ready for the 5p.m. wine down? Try an afternoon pick me up with fresh brewed coffee at their coffee bar.

This wine bar is truly a local favorite offering a great range of unique and carefully selected wines for any palette, fun events, yummy cuisine, and gifties for that hard-to-shop for friend.

My favorite aspects about The Station SLO? Their friendly and knowledgeable staff along with their hometown vibes and support for other local businesses. On your next stop to this 1920's vintage gem, try my personal favorite: the Loureiro, a crisp and citrusy white wine from Portugal that has well balanced acidity. For being a red drinker, this white wine surprised me and became my instant Station fave recommended by their friendly and helpful employee, Michael.

This Slo town treasure can find a place in the hearts of almost anyone, whether you are a certified wine-o, coffee connoisseur, a creative soul, or foodie, you will be sure to find joy and fulfillment here at The Station SLO.
